Innovation Area: Robotics & AI

We are delighted to be presenting four highly innovative cases in the Innovation Area at Rematec Amsterdam that show how automation, AI and assistance systems can make the dismantling and reconditioning of high-voltage batteries and electric motors more efficient and safer.

These cases were developed as part of the ZIRKULEA research project, funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and supervised by the Karlsruhe Project Management Agency.

Automated screwdriver for high-voltage batteries

Our solution enables the safe and automated disassembly of high-voltage components. A special insulation design and integrated extraction technology prevent screws from falling back into the housing in an uncontrolled manner - a decisive contribution to efficiency and safety in remanufacturing.

AI camera system for checking protective clothing

Working on high-voltage systems requires strict safety measures. Our AI-supported camera system checks in real time whether the necessary protective clothing is being worn correctly to ensure maximum work safety.

Robot-assisted separation of cores

Separating cores is a recurring and often manual task. By using robotics and image processing, we present an innovative solution that makes this process more efficient and at the same time reduces employee fatigue.

Assistance system for the disassembly of electric motors

Dismantling electric motors is a complex challenge due to the large number of variants. Our assistance system guides the employee through the process with intelligent sequence control and targeted instructions, ensuring maximum efficiency.
